On April 23 and 24, 2024, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tlemcen, in partnership with the Tlemcen University Hospital as well as two scientific associations, ASCOP and ADIP, organized two training days on a crucial theme: accreditation and certification of healthcare facilities and the management of risks related to healthcare. Pr. Chakib Abi Ayad, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tlemcen, presided over the opening of this event under the presidency of Professors Nafissa Chabeni and Nabil Borsali. This important event brought together Algerian healthcare professionals to deepen their knowledge on these essential subjects for the quality and safety of care. The rich and comprehensive program included lectures, workshops, and discussion sessions that explored all aspects of accreditation, certification, and risk management, both from theoretical and practical perspectives. Among the speakers was French pharmacist Dr. Nathalie Van Der Mee, an expert in hospital hygiene, who provided valuable international perspective to the discussions. This high-level training aimed to strengthen the participants' skills in areas essential for the continuous improvement of healthcare practices.
