The BMBF has published a Call for proposal CLIENT II International partnerships for sustainable innovations which may be of interest for you as it focusses among others on the topics energy, climate and land management

The call is rather complex as it covers different research areas with different regional focusses and different project types, as well as several deadlines

The areas relevant for the PAUWES context are

2.3 climate protection /energy efficiency (regional focus : western and southern Africa  in particular WASCAL/SASSCAL countries, Morocco
2.4 adaption to climate change  (regional focus western and southern Africa  in particular WASCAL/SASSCAL countries, Morocco)
2.5 land management (regional focus western and southern Africa , in particular WASCAL/SASSCAL countries, Morocco)
2.6 sustainable energy systems  (regional focus: Africa: in particular  South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, Ghana Morocco. 
2.8. project offices and scientific accompanying projects

Deadlines are

30. June 2016
29. September 2017
31. January 2019

For the second and third deadline it is possible to apply for so-called definition projects to prepare the submission of full R&D proposals

DLR-PT will be responsible for the administration of the definition projects, more detailed information is in preparation
