Under the auspices of the President of the Algerian Republic, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of the Environment and Renewable Energies, the Ministry of Training and  Vocational  Education, and the Center for Research on Scientific Education are collaborating to organize the 2023 edition of the national competition for environmental education with the theme "Our environment, our future."

The competition requires teams of three to five people to create a film in one of the following languages: Arabic, English, Amazigh, or French, addressing an environmental issue.

The video document must encompass the entirety of the adopted method (presentation of the problem, actors, actions undertaken, results and impacts on the ground, and/or or proposed solutions) and be no longer than three to five minutes (3 to 5 min).

1-February 15, 2023: Launch of the Competition and national distribution of the call for applications.

2-February 15 to April 30, 2023: Production and submission of the project at the level of the establishments the participants submit their audiovisual document to their establishment head by 04/30/2023 (at the latest) in accordance with the provisions of article 8

3-May 2 to May 6: Selection of a single project (representing the establishment) by an internal commission

4-May 6 to May 9, 2023: Sending of the project selected by the establishment to the direction of education of the wilaya, of the training and professional education of the wilaya or the regional conference according to the sector of attachment and according to the categories of attendees.

5-May 10 to May 28, 2023 at midnight (at the latest): Selection of the first three projects by category (Cadets, Juniors and Seniors), by the various departments of education of the wilaya, training and professional education of wilaya, in collaboration with the Departments of the Environment and Renewable Energies. Selection of the first 10 projects (senior category) for each regional conference. Sending of selected projects to the relevant Ministry in accordance with the provisions of Article 10.

6-May 29 to June 10, 2023: Selection, in accordance with the provisions of Article 11, by the various Ministries, of projects to be uploaded to the platform for the final selection: – 18 projects / for each category (National Education) – 15 (senior) projects for (Higher Education) – 11 projects / for each category (Vocational Training)

7-June 10 to July 1, 2023: Evaluation of projects by an intersectoral National Jury and selection of 9 winners (3 winners / per category)

8-1st week of July 2023: Announcement of results and award ceremony.
