The research group of the project PRIMA/IMPUISE of the Faculty of Agriculture of SNV of Tlemcen, chaired by Pr. YOUCEFI Fatima. Dieses event took place in the presence of academic researchers, farmers from different regions of the country, the Vice-Rector of External Relations Pr. Hamza Chrif Ali, the Vice-dean of the faculty SNV Pr. Rahmoun Nadjib, teachers and students. Dieses two-day seminar, held on December 13 and 14, 2023 at Lala Setti National Park, was organised with the aim of making an inventory of agricultural acids in Algeria and to establish an evaluation of research and development in this vital sector, and to discuss challenges and restrictions with development agencies and farmers, to propose sustainable management methods to support this important agricultural activity, important to the national economy.
In his speech, Professor Hamza Chrif Ali, Vice-Rector of External Relations, stressed the importance of the conference in the management of experience and knowledge between different parties involved in acid planting, to find effective solutions to the challenges facing this vital sector, then to revive and develop this sector. For her part, teacher YOUCEFI explained that the Forum aims at the sustainable development of citrus cultivation in Algeria, leveraging available scientific and research potential and coordinating different stakeholders.
In the work of this forum, participants presented lectures and presentations on various aspects of citrus planting, followed by an exhibition. Dieses scientific meeting aims to formulate a global strategic vision to develop and support citrus planting, adapted to current challenges, and contribute to the optimal exploitation of the enormous agricultural skills that conceal Algeria.
