The University of Tlemcen celebrates the 62nd anniversary of Victory Day

On Tuesday, the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, Earth, and Universe Sciences at the University of Tlemcen held a ceremony to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of Victory Day, marking the ceasefire of March 19, 1962.
This national day opened wide perspectives for the Algerian people to live with dignity and was the result of long negotiations in Eviane between the French authorities and the national liberation front on March 18, 1962.
On this occasion, the rector of the University of Tlemcen, Pr. MEGHACHOU Mourad, welcomed the guests, where he recounted the historical circumstances of this anniversary and the dear revolutions of the Algerian people who sacrificed so much for the recovery of the independence and sovereignty of Algeria.
For his part, the teacher Benabdelmoumene Ibrahim affirmed that the French occupier did not make a gift via the ceasefire; it was a reality imposed by the Algerian people and its revolution.
At the end of this ceremony, a poem on the sacrifices of the Algerian people for independence was recited by the student BENYAKHLEF NADJLA..
