The celebration of the national day of immigration coinciding with the event of October 17,2021 in Paris , the Rector of the University of Tlemcen addressed a speech to the guests in symbolic pause including the flag raising, and listen to the national anthem, then hear verses from the Holy Quran
On this occasion, Pr.BOUDJELA Abdelmadjid presented a rich conference entitled “ cry of the river…..(sakhrat nahr)……. From From the depth of the struggle of exile for freedom » in which he recalls the sacrifices of hundreds of Algerians were tortured and murdered by French police on October 17, 1961 after they organized a peaceful march in the French capital to denounce the curfew imposed on them at the time. This conference was followed by reading of Surah Al-Fatiha on the souls of martyrs at 11am
The guests also listened to the two Moudjahidins KHOUANI and BOUDJAMAA who recounted many facts they experienced during the colonial era.
The event closed with a visit to an exhibition at the Mudjahide Regional Museum
