As part of the partnership and exchange between the two countries, Mrs Catherine Lemieux, principal trade commissioner of the Canadian embassy was received at the university of tlemcen by the Rector , Pr. MEGHACHOU Mourad, the vice-rector of exterior relations Pr.HAMZA CHERIF Ali and the dean of the faculty of  Natural and Life Sciences , for a meeting to reflect on the possibilities of developing food agriculture. 

The main of this meeting was identify opportunities to expand the cooperation between the university of Tlemcen and economic investors as part of the activities of Canadian foreign affairs and development with the support of the international development research center and the funding  innovation and  research in Algeria.
