The National Museum of Islamic Archeology, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Archaeological Heritage and Valorization of the University of Tlemcen's Department of Archeology, hosted an International Colloquium on "Islamic Architecture in North Africa, Reality and Challenges" as part of Heritage Month 2022, which coincided with World Museum Day on May 18.
The symposium's main goal is to highlight the characteristics and history of Islamic architecture in North Africa, as well as ways to preserve it, the importance of ongoing experiments in the restoration of the region's material and architectural patrimoine, and how it can be used in economic development, heritages identification.
