On Thursday, January 26, 2023, the University of tlemcen was honored to welcome the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Pr. BEDDARI Kamel, and the Minister of Knowledge Economy and Startups, M. YACINE Mehdi Walid  . Who visited the wilaya of Tlemcen for a working and inspection visit during which they inaugurated a number of projects. The ministers were welcomed by Pr. MEGHACHOU Mourad, rector of the University of Tlemcen, M.AMOUMENE Mermouri, the wali of the Tlemcen wilaya ,The vice rectors of the University of Tlemcen, social partners, and students .

The ministerial delegation's carried out a visit by the inauguration  of technological transfer (CITT) built in the Daïra of Chetouane. In this occasion, The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research stressed that his department aims to make the Algerian universities source for  economic growth at local and national level. The Mr. Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, Minister of the Knowledge Economy and Startups, for his part, highlighted the close between his industry and higher education, notably in the area of the establishment of young enterprises by academics. The two ministers then went to the African Institute of Water Energy including climate change, before inaugurating the Faculty of Science's 10,000 teaching space project. where they received further information about these novel structures.

In addition, the  two ministers inspected  the new university pole, which is currently under construction and will eventually include 40,000 instructional spaces split between the higher school of management and the faculty of medicine as well as a dentistry clinic.

Before inaugurating the local startups in Mansourah - Imama pole, the ministerial delegation visited an exhibition of several scientific clubs at the i2E student center and the entrepreneurship center in Mansourah -
