Chief Fortune Charumbira, the president of the Pan-African Parliament, visited the Pan-African Institute of Water and Energy Sciences with his delegation, the wali of Tlemcen M.AMOUMENE Mermouri, and the civil and military authorities of the wilaya of Tlemcen. There, he was welcomed by the university's rector Pr. MEGHACHOU Mourad and the institute's director Pr. ZERGA Abdelatif.
Chief Fortune Charumbira, the president of the Pan-African Parliament, commended Algeria on this occasion for its constant support, its historic role in the freedom of the African peoples, as well as the relentless efforts to give humanitarian aid or training in various specializations.
During his presentation of the University of Tlemcen, Pr. MEGHACHOU Mourad, rector of university of Tlemcen, also stressed the vital role that the University of Tlemcen plays in training, scientific research, and internationalization, as well as its full support for the PAUWES institute. The institute's director, Pr. ZERGA Abdellatif, also presented the various structures of the institute and its components.
The delegation visited a scientific exhibition and attended a cultural performance performed by a group of African students.
The purpose of this visit is to take part in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (17th) union of parliaments summit.
