On February 4, 2023, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Pr. Chakib Abi Ayad, and the Rector of the University of Tlemcen, Pr. Mourad MEGHACHOU, the Faculty of Medicine , held a ceremony in honor of Professor Kheireddine BOUYOUCEF. In a symbolic moment to highlight the central role and the efforts made in the development of medicine.

The biography of Professor Kheireddine BOUYOUCEF :

In 1981/82, he has actively contributed to the growth of the INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES OF BLIDA. In 1985, and he made a crucial contribution to  the ISM endowment with its first scientific council of the institute of BLIDA, and he was first elected as the president of this scientific organ.

Up until the ISM's conversion and the establishment of the faculty of medicine in Blida, all scientific and educational activities had flourished  with an important commitment of teaching community as a result of his devotion and dedication.

• founding member of : the Algerian Society of Neurosurgery in 1983 , the Pan Arab of Neurosurgery in 1988 and the African CAANS of Neurosurgery.

• Neuroendoscopy pioneer (on a national and regional level) , endoscopy introduction in Algeria 1994 and Endonasal endoscopic surgery in 2003
• International Course Director : First African Neuroendoscopy Course (2008), Second African Neuroendoscopy Course

• PUBLICATION: Endoscopic Transchoroidal Fissure approach to the postrior part of the third ventricle and posterior fossa (Nova publisher.2013) In: Minimally Invasive Skull Base Surgery

 Training : almost a hundred Algerian neurosurgeons  with a dozen of them holding the position of medical professor and department head of neurosurgery.
