The United States Ambassador in Algeria, ELIZABETH Moore Aubin, paid a visit to Tlemcen this Wednesday, March 08, 2023, where she was welcomed by Pr. MEGHACHOU Mourad, rector of the University of Tlemcen, and his administrative staff, the director of the PAWES institute Prof. ZARGA Abdellatif, teachers and students.
After the welcome session to the Ambassador, the two parties discussed ways to consolidate bilateral cooperation between the University of Tlemcen and American universities, Dr. Omar Haddadah then gave a presentation on the University which took place focused on the international dimension of the University of Tlemcen which includes the university's efforts through participation in international conferences and seminars and by contributing to global academic and competitive events, in addition, the university aims to improve academic links with other scholars around the world and to provide support to international students and researchers. Pr.Latifa Neguadi also presented the ACADEMY project, Prof. Ilham Ouchdi made an in-depth presentation of the EL@N project, then Prof. MEDJAHDI Noureddine and Dr. BENAMAR Nahar presented the projects carried out between the University of Tlemcen and the American partner as the east of carolina project. at the conclusion of the meeting The director of the African Institute for Water, Energy, and Climate Change presented the departments and organizational structures of the PAWES Institute at the University of Tlemcen.
Her Excellency expressed her gratitude to the University of Tlemcen for the warm welcome and spoke about the value of culture and education in fostering bilateral relations between the United States and Algeria as well as the program of educational and cultural exchange that the United States has given to Algeria.
