The research laboratory on developmental neurological disorders and learning at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences organized a national conference both in-person and online on Thursday, September 26, 2024, under the theme "Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities: Reality and Hopes," presided over by Professor Asma Achachra.
The conference featured eight main axes, addressing various aspects of inclusive education, ranging from the definition of basic concepts and legal frameworks to the role of educational institutions and teachers, as well as social challenges and practical experience presentations.
Through its themes, the conference aims to highlight the concept of inclusive education and underscore its essential role in achieving educational equality. It seeks to spark discussions on the legal and organizational challenges this educational model faces. Special attention is given to the importance of teacher training and the development of their skills, while clarifying the central role of school life assistants in supporting this educational model.
Furthermore, the conference aspires to study the social perceptions of the educational team regarding inclusive education and analyze the realities of school integration through the presentation of experiences and the identification of obstacles.
