The Laboratory of Public Governance and Social Economy (GPES) at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences, and Management organized an international conference on the Islamic Financial Industry, chaired by Dr. Khalouf Yacine.
The conference discussed the mechanisms for implementing Islamic financial laws, as well as issuing and adopting the application texts, guided by legal, accounting, and governance standards and the guiding principles issued by the relevant international bodies, including AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) and the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB).
The conference saw the participation of professors and researchers from Algeria and abroad, general directors of banks and insurance companies, as well as representatives from the Supreme Islamic Council and the Bank of Algeria.
The conference was held at the Zianine Hotel, where the participating delegations were accommodated, on December 10 and 11.
