As part of the implementation of the sports activities program established by the Directorate of Student Life of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in coordination with the Algerian University Sports Federation, Abou Bakr Belkaid University of Tlemcen hosted the Western Region Championship from December 12 to 15, 2024, with the participation of teams from the university dormitories of Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbès, Mascara, and Tiaret.

Teams qualified for the regional championship:

• Men's: The team from the Tlemcen University dormitory qualified.
• Women's: The team from the Mascara University dormitory qualified.
