The first congress of the cancerLab SDT Research Laboratory, held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, brought together a select group of researchers and doctors interested in the field of cancer. The event was attended by Mr. Youcef Bechlaoui, Wali of Tlemcen, accompanied by Mr. President of the Provincial People's Assembly (APW) of the Wilaya, Professor Ali Hamza Cherif, Vice-Dean of the University in charge of External Relations, as well as the Director of Health, faculty members, and students.

The congress addressed vital issues such as cancer epidemiology, advancements in oncology and radiotherapy, the role of molecular biology in malignant hematological cancers, as well as nuclear medicine and molecular imaging in oncology. A practical workshop was also held on drug design.
