In a distinguished scientific event, the Research Laboratory on Dialogue of Civilizations and Religions in the Mediterranean organized a national symposium on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, titled "Specialized Languages and Institutional Communication: Contemporary Perspectives and Challenges."
The symposium was part of a research project with social and economic impact: Specialized Languages and the Algerian Labor Market: Costs and Values, led by Dr. Abdelkader Belkarnine, in collaboration with the university research project HOOL01UN130120220001.

The symposium began with a discussion on the relationship between languages and brand identity, highlighting the importance of languages, especially specialized languages, in shaping public perception of a brand and enhancing its distinctive identity. The participants discussed the linguistic strategies employed by companies to adapt to the expectations of various audience segments and increase their presence in global markets.

The event then moved to the management of cultural diversity and institutional communication, emphasizing the impact of linguistic and cultural differences on communication and collaboration within institutions. The importance of building a multilingual work environment was underscored, as well as strategies and practices that can foster interaction between different cultures and ensure mutual understanding in a multilingual workplace.

Another topic addressed at the symposium was multilingual institutional communication, highlighting its significance for multinational companies to ensure effective communication adapted to different cultures. Participants presented practices enabling these companies to overcome linguistic challenges, improve the management of specialized languages, and integrate innovative strategies in translation, adaptation, and intercultural communication. The symposium also touched on terminology issues and linguistic adaptation, discussing to what extent terms can ensure accurate communication with a diverse audience while considering cultural differences.

In conclusion, the symposium explored the relationship between institutional culture and linguistic adaptation, emphasizing the role of specialized languages in shaping the organizational culture of an institution. Participants discussed how to achieve this, particularly in internal communication, and the necessity of overcoming language barriers to ensure the integration of international teams.
