On Monday, January 27, 2025, a meeting of the National Committee for the Transition to a Fourth-Generation University (4.0) was held at the headquarters of the CRUEst (Regional Conference of Eastern Universities) at Sétif 1 Farhat Abbas University. The meeting was attended by the Director General of Training at the Ministry of Higher Education, Professor Chokri Ali; the Minister's Advisor, Professor Boualam Tatah, the Presidents of the Regional Conferences of Eastern and Western Universities, and the Director of Sétif 1 University, Professor Mohammed Elhadi Latrache, the President of the National Committee for the Transition to a Fourth-Generation University (4.0), Professor Nawel Abdellatif Mami, as well as directors of university institutions and their deputies for scientific and pedagogical research.

The meeting began with a welcoming speech from the President of CRUEst, who highlighted the importance and objectives of the meeting. This was followed by a speech from the Director General of Training at the Ministry of Higher Education on the creation of the national committee, and a speech from the Minister's Advisor outlining the ministry's strategy and vision for modernizing higher education and aligning universities with fourth-generation standards. The meeting then continued with a presentation of the strategy and action plan of the National Committee by its President, Professor Nawel Abdellatif Mami.
