The LARMHO research laboratory organized a national symposium on The Evaluation of Public Financial Policies in Algeria, which took place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in the defense hall of the Department of Finance and Accounting, presided over by Professor BOUMEDIENE Hocine.
This event is part of ongoing efforts to analyze and assess public financial policies and their effectiveness, particularly in the context of Organic Law 15-18 on finance laws.
The symposium highlights major themes, such as the conceptual framework of public policies, the evaluation of public spending policies, tax policy, political studies on social support, the analysis of sectoral support, and the role of oversight bodies in improving financial performance. Additionally, it sheds light on successful international experiences that could be beneficial in developing financial evaluation mechanisms in Algeria.
This academic gathering aims to strengthen transparency and accountability in public financial management while developing financial policy evaluation mechanisms that align with international standards. It contributes to improving public spending efficiency and ensuring the sustainability of public finances. Furthermore, this symposium represents a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences and expertise among researchers and experts in the field, especially in the current economic context, which requires structural reforms to promote good governance and the rationalization of state financial resources.
