Pr. MEGHACHOU Mourad, the rector of Tlemcen University, welcomed His Excellency Julius Joshua Kivuna, the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to Algeria, on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the downtown campus. The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdelatif Zerga, Director of the Pan African University Institute for Water and Energy Sciences (including climate change) (PAUWES), along with the university's vice-rectors.

During his visit, Mr. Julius Joshua Kivuna met with Ugandan students studying at Tlemcen University. He listened to their opinions about their academic experience and life in the wilaya. The students praised the quality of education and the warm reception they received from the university administration and faculty members.

This visit was also an opportunity to explore ways to strengthen cooperation between Tlemcen University and Ugandan universities.
