As part of strengthening cooperation with UNESCO, the University of Tlemcen had the honor of welcoming Dr. Elsa Sattout, program specialist within the Natural Sciences Sector and representative of UNESCO.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Hamza Cherif Ali, Vice-Rector in charge of External Relations, Cooperation, Communication, Scientific Events . It was dedicated to the ambitious project of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development and Resilience, led by Prof. Cherifa Abdelbaki.

The meeting was held in the presence of Pr. Cherifa Abdelbaki, Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair,Dr. Bessedik, Deputy Coordinator of the Chair, and Mrs. Nadia Lahmar, representative of the General Directorate of Forests.

Discussions focused on the chair’s action plan and upcoming activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This visit marks a strategic step in the University of Tlemcen’s commitment to research in the service of sustainability and resilience.
