The UNEP-WMO Consultative Workshop and Science-Policy Dialogue on Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) will be held on 19–20 May 2025 in a hybrid format, combining in-person participation at the WMO Headquarters in Geneva and online attendance. Co-facilitated by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), and the International Science Council, in collaboration with a consortium of global and regional partners including the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), this two-day event will feature knowledge-sharing sessions followed by a structured Science-Policy Dialogue. The workshop aims to convene leading experts, researchers, and practitioners working on SRM, along with UNEP Member States, international coalitions, and organizations, to exchange insights and foster informed decision-making on this emerging topic.
