The University of Tlemcen had the honor of welcoming a high-level Slovenian delegation led by Her Excellency Mrs. Kramberger Mendek, Ambassador of Slovenia to Algeria, accompanied by Professor Rado Bohinc, President of EMUNI University, and Ms. Polona Oblak, Coordinator of the EMUNI Network.

 

The visit began with an official reception at the headquarters of the Wilaya, where the Wali of Tlemcen warmly welcomed the delegation and emphasized in his speech the crucial importance of strengthening Euro-Mediterranean academic cooperation as a driver of development and intercultural exchange.

 

The delegation then proceeded to the university to attend the official inauguration ceremony of the Tlemcen-EMUNI Center for Knowledge and Innovation (TE-KIH), presided over by the Rector of the University, Professor MEGHACHOU Mourad, who highlighted the significance of this promising partnership in his welcome address. Professor HAMZA CHERIF Ali, Vice-Rector for External Relations, presented the university’s internationalization strategy, reaffirming its commitment to global academic collaboration.

The newly inaugurated center was presented by Dr. Omar Behadada, the center’s coordinator, who outlined its mission to promote innovation, support research, and foster academic exchanges between the two Mediterranean nations.
