The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) is organising the Global Conference on Agri-Food Biotechnologies, under the theme

“Biotechnologies for a Sustainable Future: Driving the Transformation of Agri-Food Systems,”

to be held from June 16 to 18, 2025, in Rome, Italy.

In this context, the FAO has launched

▪️ A call for submission of poster abstracts showcasing advancements, opportunities, and risks related to biotechnologies.

Submissions must be made online before April 30, 2025.

▪️ A Biotechnology Innovation Challenge for young scientists and innovators under the age of 35.

The top three projects will be presented at the conference, with financial support from the FAO covering travel and accommodation costs.

Deadline to respond to the call: May 2, 2025, and conference registration deadline: May 5, 2025
